Who I am
Hi! I’m Iris. I’ve been looking for something serious for a while now, but I haven’t found the right person yet. I’m hoping to get married and have kids within the next couple of years. (What that means: I’m dating with intention, focusing on lifestyle and long-term compatibility rather than just immediate chemistry. What that does not mean: dragging the next person I go on a date with to Vegas.)
I’m someone who loves spending time outdoors (walking, hiking, or swimming), especially when the sun’s shining! My dog loves it, too. When I’m not outside (or at work), I’m usually lost in a good book. (I’m always open to book recommendations!) I mostly read fiction, though I’m not completely against nonfiction... maybe on our first date, I’ll tell you the story about how I ended up reading a book about Theranos when I thought it was going to be about vampires (or about how I accidentally bought a wedding dress while traveling abroad… but that’s a whole other story)!
I host a weekly radio show, where I play all genres of music, and I love discovering new artists/bands. I also enjoy shopping and finding hidden gems at secondhand stores. (Maybe a perfect idea for a second date?)
What I’m looking for
I’m looking for someone who’s kind, thoughtful, and able to show up for the hard stuff; someone who wants to grow both personally and together. I appreciate and value honesty and good communication. I want a partner who’s open to talking through things, patient with the ups and downs, and willing to work through challenges as a team.
I care deeply about building trust and emotional connection. I’m drawn to people who listen with empathy, offer steady support, and are present when it matters most. I also value moving at a pace that feels good for both of us, with mutual respect.
Long-term, I want to build a life with someone who is ready for marriage and kids. I’m also looking for someone who feels emotionally and financially ready for the responsibilities that come with having a family. I’m hoping to find a partner who is excited to share adventures, quiet nights, and everything in between. My extended family is a big part of my life, so I hope to find someone who wants to be part of that, too.
